Chaos: 27 boxes
Ideas for 27 chaos boxes of 10 × 10 cm in seven media: pencil, black ink, coloured pencil, coloured markers, collage, construction paper and mixed media. Each idea grows from one of your 18 Visual Research images, says what to make and how to do it in that medium, and names the design elements and principles it uses. Every idea has an example you can copy that builds up step by step. Press Regenerate for a new idea and Lock the ones you want to keep.

- 3 collage, 3 construction coloured paper, and 9 mixed media.

Inspired by your 18 images
- Every idea grows from one of the 18 images on your Visual Research sheets, shown on its card with your label.
- The ideas spread across your images, so most of the 18 are used. Regenerate keeps it that way.
- Click one of your images below to highlight the ideas that came from it.

A4 portrait. The A3 Visual Studies plan lays out your 27 compositions as the 3 A3 sheets you hand in, 9 per sheet, each square labelled with its combination, medium and source image (squares print at 8.5 cm so they fit the printer margins; use it as a plan or guide for your own grid paper). A3 with examples puts the example drawings in the squares. The A4 blank sheets have the 27 boxes at 9.5 × 9.5 cm (four to a page, so they fit inside a printer’s margins, 7 pages), each labelled with its medium, idea, element and principle. The reference sheets print the examples in the same boxes, to copy from, in two parts (boxes 1–12, then 13–27) because the drawings are detailed. The ideas list prints all 27 ideas with instructions (3 pages). Print at 100% / actual size.
